a strange phrase. (This is a play on the phrase "yokunaru", which can mean everything gets better, but in this case can also mean and is being used to refer to the sound of a drum that resounds nicely.)
I heard such a sound when I was young, and somewhere in my heart, I thought, "I can't forget about it."
It was as if that phrase had taken up a corner in my mind as a "fellow that piqued my curiosity".
First, the phrase, "dandan yokunaru" (slowly getting better), is like a good luck charm.
It is like a guiding principle, or rather, a belief that influences how I live my life.
Anything that happens will become a good thing.
Everything gets better. Everything is getting better.
This way of thinking,
is salvation, hope, and inarguably positive.
I have always thought that no matter what happens, if you think that "this is part of the process of getting better", you will be able to accept most things, and progress forward.
It is not that I committed myself to thinking this way because I wanted to have hope.
To me, this is pretty much "the reality that I chose".
Because I have lived until the present time believing and never doubting in this,
I am able to believe that the reality before my eyes
is really and truly getting better and better.
Even regarding extremely painful and difficult situations, when I look back on them after some time,
it was because I had those periods of time that I am where I am presently, and they played their parts in leading me to good things.
To borrow the Beatles' words,
...make it better, better, better, better, better, better, Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!
(from "Hey Jude")
And, Getting so much better all the time!
(from "Getting Better")
Me, you, that person, this person,
this country, that country, this world and Earth and space and everything.
Everything is gradually but surely
in the midst of evolving. They are right in the middle of the process of improving.
Even if a situation seems to be lagging behind, it is all part of the growing process.
If you look at it from a larger perspective, a situation that is truly lagging behind does not exist in this world.
If you think like that, it is really true.
If you sound a Hokke drum well,
how strange, everything gradually gets better.
The sounds of the words "dandan" "hokke",
I like how this phrase sounds positive and carefree.
As long as I am beating a drum, I feel like things will get better.
For that reason, when I was thinking of a name to represent my activities,
I took one from this phrase that piques my interest.
" hocke "
Photography, design, monologues (words, essays), dance, recitation...
I plan to do many things,
but at any rate, I am positive that my activities will be carefree and positive.
I hope that you will stay with me for this journey.
Love,
Sakko
